In his speech, the Secretary General has highlighted the important commitment of Spain to promote organic production, with the aim of achieving, in the medium and long term, 25% of agricultural area in organic farming (currently around 10%). He also pointed out the need to improve training and information along the food chain, to facilitate the conversion to this system of producing food, so that its supply is extended and reaches more consumers.
