The program reaches schools all over the Aragonese territory, being fundamental the role of the Rural Grouped Schools (CRA) to reach as many children as possible in rural areas. In total, 388 centers and around 71,000 Primary Education students and about 1,000 Special Education students of all ages will participate in this edition.
Apples, pears, bananas, mandarins, cherries and apricots are back in the classroom – the latter two are optional for schools because they have pits. The fruit programme has a fixed part, which consists of the distribution of ten deliveries of one portion of fruit per pupil that arrives at the school clean and ready for consumption. Milk and sugar-free yoghurts were also added three years ago.
